This Privacy Policy describes how DreamTTS ("we", "us", or "our") handles your data when you use the DreamTTS application ("the App").
1. Local Processing
DreamTTS is designed with a privacy-first, local-first architecture. All text-to-speech generation occurs entirely locally on your device using native runtime engines. We do not upload your text, files, transcripts, or generated audio to any cloud servers for processing.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following information to our servers:
- Personal identification information (name, email, etc.)
- The content of your pasted text, `.txt`, or `.md` files
- Your generated audio narrations
- Custom voice reference samples or recordings
- Usage analytics or telemetry
3. Custom Voice Samples and Microphone Access
The App may request microphone permission to record custom voice reference samples for the Studio v2 engine. These recordings are stored locally on your device and are only used for generating voice clones within the App. They are never uploaded to any remote server. You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device's system settings.
4. Downloads and Network Access
The App requires internet access solely to download optional premium voice models (Studio v2) from our Content Delivery Network (CDN). When you choose to download these models, standard network requests are made, which may expose your IP address to our CDN provider, as is standard with all internet communications. No personal data or usage data is linked to these downloads.
5. Local Storage
DreamTTS stores generated narration history, transcripts, downloaded model files, and custom voice samples in your device's local storage. This data remains on your device and can be deleted by you at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
