This Privacy Policy describes how Dream TTS ("we", "us", or "our") handles your data when you use the Dream TTS app ("the App") on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
1. On-Device Reading
The App reads your documents aloud with a voice engine that runs entirely on your device. Your documents, the text in them, your place in them and the audio made from them are never uploaded to us or to any cloud service.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identification information such as your name or email address
- Your documents, their text, or the web pages you read
- Audio or exports made by the App
- What you read, when, or for how long
The App has no account and no analytics.
If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message, along with what Contact Us in the App fills in: the App's version and, on iPhone and iPad, the device model and iOS version. We use them only to reply to you.
3. Network Access
The App uses the network for three things: to fetch a web page you choose to read, which is requested directly from that website; to download its voices, once, after asking you; and to check and make purchases through the App Store, which Apple handles. Nothing you read is sent with these requests, though as with any internet request your IP address is visible to the server that answers.
4. Storage on Your Device
The App keeps your library, copies of documents you add, spoken audio, and any exports you make on your device. In the library, Settings shows how much space each uses, and lets you set a limit for spoken audio and clear it at any time. Removing a book removes what the App kept for it. Deleting the App deletes all of it.
5. This Website
Our website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page usage. This applies to the website only and never to the App or its contents. If you choose a theme for the website, your browser keeps the choice on your device; it is never sent to us.
6. Children
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
